Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I provide lessons in guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, and banjo. The method I use has been perfected over twenty-five years teaching students from 4 to 83 years old. My approach is to challenge the student, but work at a pace that assures the student understands the material before we move on. I have taught performing musicians who want to expand their knowledge as well as beginners who have never played an instrument. If you need an instrument, I sell and rent guitars and banjos as well as sell basses, ukuleles, mandolins, banjos, amplifiers, and accessories. All instruments for sale are new, carry a full manufacturers warranty that is handled locally, and are professionally set up. The same care is afforded the guitars and banjos I rent. If needed, I repair and setup string instruments.

I am am adult student of Mark's. I began lessons in the Spring of 2008. When we first talked, I explained that I had played some (chords only) as a teenager for 3-4 years but then gave it up as life took over. Mark asked me some good questions about my goals and objectives. I liked him immediately. He sourced a very good starting guitar for me-in my case an acoustic as I lean that way (although I'm now playing electric as well), and at my first lesson he explained that we were going to start at the beginning and he planned to teach me to read music. I scoffed, but six years later (and several more guitars!) I am overjoyed with my love for music. Theory, history, technique and backstory all accompany my lessons. I can read sheet music and understand the concepts the math and the history. I recommend Mark to anyone wanting to learn not just the notes or the chords, but the "why" behind it. Kids, adults, beginners-doesn't matter. I've watched him with students from very young kids to senior citizens and he gets it. He knows how to relate to all students and how to get through to each of them on a personal level. Aside from being a genuinely good guy, he's a darn good player too and can teach things that I could only imagine possible when I started. I look forward to every single lesson after 6.5 years!

We have had other guitar instructors in the past, but we have had enormous success with Mark as their instructor. Both of our kids have accelerated their learning far beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Mark the Guitar Teacher!

The most down-to-earth teacher that we have ever been obliged to know. Along with being a great guitarist, Mark also has a great sense of humor which makes going to guitar even more thrilling!

Good humor, low pressure, excellent flexibility with both times and abilities.
