We have been to 5 different trainers. All taught or dog a thing or two but Sam went above and beyond. I really believe in his philosophy of teaching, it really does work best for dogs. We had our dog enrolled in a pet store training class to get her Canine Good Citizens Test, however she just wasn't focusing enough, and failed the practice tests. I kid you not, after 2 days (a week apart) with Sam, Shots passed her CGC with flying colors! He started out the day by simply walking her and tiring her out, then trained her. Getting some of her extra energy out made all the difference and she was able to concentrate on what he was teaching her. I would recommend Sam to anyone! He is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Just seeing what he can teach dogs how to do in such a short time is amazing!

I hired Sam when I brought home a German Shepherd pup from a rescue and knew I would need someone to help me learn to train him. Sam had the experience and discipline my dog needed and the patience that I needed. I have learned so much from Sam and so has my pup. We highly recommend him for all aspects of training.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
You pay for quality. As a trainer and educator I will give you skills, knowledge, and advice to advance your confidence with your dog.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
On the initial consult, I meet with EVERYONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD and the dog. I like to see the dog in their most comfortable environment. The reason I like to meet with everyone is to observe everyone reactions and behavior around the dog. Once the consult is over, meeting with one family member is sufficient. Throughout the program you will have unlimited access to text, call, and email. You will be encouraged to join certain free sites to further educate yourself.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my masters in Canine Studies. I have studied, mentored, and certified through the CPDT as dog trainer. I continually attend and educate myself on the most SCIENTIFIC proven techniques.
