Introduction: I provide piano, theory and ear training lessons at my home or on Skype.
I have 11 years of experience teaching students from ages two to adulthood. I have a Bachelor of Music in Piano and Music Education from Berklee College of Music, a conservatory that specializes in contemporary music. In addition, I hold a DipABRSM in Classical Piano Performance, so I am qualified to teach both classical and contemporary styles. I have also been an elementary general music teacher as well as a high school choral teacher at public schools and can tailor my classes to all ages. I am certified to teach early childhood -- Grade 12 music in the state of Texas.
Some examples of classes may be the following:
* Jazz piano lessons for beginner, intermediate or advanced students
* Classical theory for all levels -- Beginning musicians may wish to learn reading/notation, while advanced musicians may wish to study four-part chorale/counterpoint writing.
* Jazz theory for all levels -- From lead sheet analysis to modal harmony writing
* Ear training in both classical and jazz including relative pitch, harmonic dictation, melodic diction, sight-singing
* Preparation for music performance, theory exams and auditions including ABRSM, RCM, IBDP, IBMYP, AP, and TMEA all state
Compensation is $1/minute, minimum of 30 minutes
