- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing for private lessons is by hour. My pricing for live performances is comprised of the following components: traveling expenses and rehearsal hours. Extra components include music purchases and labor for specially requested pieces.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Having just graduated with a bachelor's degree in violin performance, I am continuing my education as a graduate student starting this fall. I am planning on prolonging my education in the artist diploma or doctorate program in the future.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've worked with numerous teachers and many of them inspired me to share my knowledge with people. As more and more people lose interest in classical instruments, I believe it is imperative for us classical musicians to teach a broad spectrum of musical genres (i.e. pop, rock, bluegrass, celtic, tango, etc.) while making classical music more accessible and approachable.
