You can't go wrong with lessons from Amber! She's performed herself in both broadway and operatic styles, plus she's taught many, many successful students over the years. She's a top rate accompanist as well. I've never met anyone who could successfully navigate all of these teaching styles, perform them herself, and accompany as well. I recommend her with highest praise!

Miss James taught me piano for two years and she was by far the best piano teacher I've ever had (and I've had 5). I hated piano but she was always very patient and understanding with me and she has helped me to learn to enjoy playing the piano.

One hour lessons are $70, forty-five minute lessons are $55, and half hour lessons are $45.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin with accessing the wants and needs of each student. I make it a priority to cater to the student's goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and Piano, a Master's degree in Vocal Performance, and am currently finishing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. I taught 5 years of elementary and middle school music and also taught voice in a university setting for 3 years. I have been teaching private music lessons for 20 years. I actively accompany as much as I can and also study voice regularly with a professional singer.
