FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our wedding investments begin at $850 for one photographer and four hours of coverage. We offer other packages at various investment levels, but our extremely useful A La Carte Menu allows you to completely customize your photography coverage and we think that sets us apart. We think it makes a lot more sense to allow you to decide what you need and don't need when it comes to your wedding day photography. Crazy, right??
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe that communication is key and I do my best to make sure I am available to you! I always tell my clients to ask me anything...it doesn't have to just be photography-related!! Think your florist is cheating you? Your DJ has a cray-cray music list? You're pretty sure you're going to murder your fiance? CALL!!! I'm here, I've been doing this for a long time, and I may have the answer you're looking for. And if you just need to cry for a few minutes, I'm here for that too. :) We'll be calling, texting, emailing, Skyping and meeting in person a lot throughout your wedding planning process. To start, we'll get the details of your wedding, determine whether we are available, and try to set up a time for a phone call or Skype meeting. We'll chat and make sure we're a good fit. If we decide to move forward, we'll get a contract in the mail to you. You review it, sign it, and get it -and a 50% retainer- back to us. Once we have both of those, your date is reserved and we can just focus on the fun part...working together to make sure your wedding photos are perfect reflections of you and your love.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Photography was my minor in college, so I studied the basics and developed my craft extensively for those four years. I also believe that continuing your education is so important in this field. I take as many online classes as I can, attend conferences, and read every article, blog & op-ed I can get my hands on. And most importantly, I am almost never without my gear. My daughters have to be some of the most photographed people on the planet! I figure out new techniques almost every day because I am always always learning by doing.
