Sarah Luebke, a phenomenal instructor in voice was and still is one of the most influential people in my life. As an instructor and mentor, Sarah worked with me for three years in her time in Iowa. While working with her I was in high school and I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher to help me rise to be the best musician and person I could be. As any young student, I was nervous to take private voice lessons, but my thought process on that quickly changed. I discovered that Sarah is a kind, welcoming, and very educated musician herself that with her mind, body, and soul wants to help others discover their own creativity and self-expression through the beauty of music. She gets to know each student and fine-tunes her teaching style to mesh with each individual she works with. After each lesson, I felt more educated and more motivated because I was positively pushed by her to challenge myself and to be the best I could be in everything that I do. In our three years spent together, I accomplished many hurdles in the music world. With Sarah’s expertise, one accomplishment that stands out the most is that I placed first in the high school men’s category in the National Association of Teacher’s of Singing (NATS) 2014 National Student Auditions in Boston, MA. I know for a fact that I couldn’t have asked for a better guide in my musical journey, and with that, I recommend Sarah Luebke to any student, young and old, amateur or experienced, because she works above and beyond any other vocal instructor I have ever encountered.

Sarah is a fantastic vocal coach who is truly passionate about teaching her students to sing. When I would be having trouble with a concept Sarah always had great analogies and illustrations to help explain vocal techniques and exercises to help me improve. The repitore that Sarah suggested was difficult enough to be challenging but not so difficult to be discouraging. On days when I'd had a particularly difficult lesson she always had many words of encouragement that always helped me keep my chin up. Any student would be lucky to take voice lessons with Sarah!

I played an instrument so music I knew. Singing with choirs since graduating college, I found I needed help learning to sing with freedom and not be hoarse after concerts. Sarah was a great help in correcting several very basic things.

Professor Luebke not only has a solid knowledge-base for vocal students, but also makes a personal commitment to help each student be the best they can be. I was blessed to be her vocal student and highly recommend her for students of any level.

I took lessons from Sarah Luebke at Waldorf College in Forest City, IA. I was a freshman and had never taken voice lessons before, so I was a bit apprehensive with the whole private lesson atmosphere. Sarah helped me realize the full potential of my voice and really sparked my passion for singing. I am now in my senior year and I am so happy that I decided to take lessons my first year at Waldorf. These lessons helped shape who I am now, and led me to look at continuing voice at the graduate level. Sarah is an encouraging, fun, and caring teacher that will push anyone, beginners and advanced students, to become better.
