FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Since many of my clients have specific projects they're trying to complete, I price my services on an hourly basis. If a client wants to work over a longer time period, we can make other arrangements.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by talking with each client about their specific goals so we can both be clear about the direction we’re taking. We talk about any concerns about anxiety or fear they may have about their project or working with a coach. If there is a particular project for which they are preparing, we always work on that assignment. I use the content of that task to teach the necessary skills and tools to help them achieve their goals. By using this approach, the client has the opportunity to experience the practical application of the principles and learn them more easily and quickly. While in sessions, I take meticulous notes so the client doesn’t have to worry about getting everything down while trying to listen and understand the information I’m sharing with them. All the notes are compiled into an electronic Coaching Notebook that is emailed to them post session. The notebook includes their specific goals, notes from each session, any useful documents to help them organize their thoughts or create the speech or presentation, the next session’s assignments, our working schedule, and any other useful media that addresses their project. With each session, the Coaching Notebook is added to with the most recent work at the top. It is confidential and specific to each client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a PhD in Communication, Voice and Film from Georgia State University and I have a Masters in International Broadcast Journalism. I have traveled internationally as a motivational speaker and am currently teaching communication and media-related courses at Kennesaw State University and Clark Atlanta University.
