The singing lesson services provided were amazing! Not only did Javon go into the physical concept of the vocal chords and how they are our personal instruments, he also gave helpful breathing exercises that helped me control my breath while singing. Also, I really enjoyed the many warm up exercises that were provided which helped not only warm up my vocal chords, but allowed me to develop a ear for different notes being played and how to find the correct notes if I were to listen or sing a song. Lastly, Javon challenged me in a great way by making me sing one classical song, as well as, one popular song so that I can learn how to control my breath and sing various songs with ease regardless of the genre. Overall Javon was fantastic, very patient, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend using his services.

I received voice lessons from Javon a few months ago and was looking to develop breathing techniques and voice control. He came prepared with different exercises for vocal strengthening and I definitley saw a difference in the way I sing. Now when I sing with my praise team I am much more confident and feel like the breathing techniques he demonstrated really helped with that (a lot of people started to notice the difference). He is very professional and is a master at his musical gift.

Javon was an excellent vocal coach. On our first session we sat down and went over everything I wanted to accomplish. He is very thorough and we went over things I didn't even think about like how to breath properly. That alone has allowed me to sing better and keep my notes more controlled. Javon pushed me out of my comfort zone and it's exactly what I needed. I highly recommend Javon. He has a very powerful voice and knows what he's doing!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is gauging what the customers goals are within singing. After I learn what their musical style is, we will start from the basics and move according to their skill level. I usually like to push my students past their vocal boundaries so they can grow and become successful.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in music and over 5 years of experience with vocal ensembles and technique training.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing this type of work with friends and family, and with my experiences in school I started teaching.
