- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will typically charge $50 per hour of instruction. Half-hour lessons are $30. I would prefer to use University facilities for teaching (soundproof, nearby access to scores and literature on singing), but I am willing to travel to provide lessons (if a tuned piano is present in the lesson space) at an extra charge of $5 to $10 depending on the time/distance I'd have to travel.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do. I continue to study privately and attend university courses that specifically deal with voice and vocal instruction.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've spent a long time pursuing performance and developing my own skills as a performer, a student, and a teacher. It is a logical step to provide what knowledge I have gained to students looking to learn.
