- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When meeting a new student, I like to get to know them including their goals and their musical likes. After we get to know each other, we will start with some warm-ups and find a song that the student is comfortable playing or singing. If the student doesn't know any songs, I will teach them a song based on their musical likes. By the end of the first lesson, the student will have sung or played their first song!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of my degrees are in music performance. I recently graduated with a doctorate in musical arts in vocal performance! Other than my university education, I have been playing, singing, and taking lessons my entire life! I enjoy learning new things about music including new teaching methods and new techniques, so I can continue improving as a teacher.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students including those who have never sung or played! I have also worked with students who have more experience including those who are actively performing and auditioning.
