FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and am required to comply with continuing education specifications to remain certified. I am also a member of Meeting Planners International (MPI) and involved in leadership roles in the Philadelphia chapter.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out my career practicing law in Atlanta, GA. Marriage and an eventual move took me to Westfield, NJ where I had three children and was a stay at home mom while they were young. As they got older I started to try and figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I launched a successful networking organization for single professionals and began holding events - dinners, cocktail receptions and fundraisers. A synchronistic meeting in an elevator led me to being offered the position of National Events Manager for a law firm and I never looked back. I found what I wanted to do with my life!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
If it is not fun, I am not doing it! Meeting planning is extremely fun. I am passionate about producing successful events, therefore, I have a lot of fun in my life:)
