FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have standard pricing in that I consider how many hours will be involved with pre-planning and event execution. The hourly price can range based on the details of the event and scope of work. That is why it is very important to have a good discussion with the potential client to get a very clear understanding of what services they desire. I like to identify how I can provide benefit to the client providing what they need and not charging for time or services they don't need.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost it is to understand what the client wants helps with. I always sit down and have a detailed discussion about what the event will be and what the client really wants. From this we can then identify scope of work and make a plan that will achieve the client's hope and goals for the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a PMP (project management professional) and have planned, managed, and coordinated several events, parties, trainings, and conferences as part of my corporate career experience. I have consulted for and managed large accounts and served as the Director of Operations for three Pilates studio. I am adept at communicating with clients and vendors, making a plan to achieve all goals identified and of course juggling multiple tasks at once which is a must to make the event come together seamlessly. On a fun note, my education in party planning and event coordinating truly started when I was quite small. I come from a very large family and my house was where all the get togethers were held. So, in reality, I have been helping make sure events come off without a hitch since I was 5.
