Introduction: Your own university offers courses that teach survivors of childhood trauma how to live victoriously by validating themselves from within, knowing every part of themselves, and honoring each part: their bodies, their emotions and their relationship with God. That is what I believe and set what I do apart from other more conventional modalities used to recover from childhood abuse. I enjoy coaching and supporting survivors that have already spent time talking about and sifting through their trauma. They have already recognized that childhood trauma affects us on every level, and they are stuck trying to fix or correct all the damage it created. As a survivor myself, I realized that after we talk and express our anger, rage, fear, insecurities and doubt, it is easy to get in the cycle of continuing to live life as a survivor. By this, I mean constantly analyzing, healing and trying to change ourselves in order to feel whole. After the victimization is realized and processes, this cycle of self fixing can be as damaging as the victimization itself causing low self-esteem, and constant self disapproval of oneself and one’s life circumstances. It is what we, as victims, learn to do in-order to survive, and it works to keep us surviving. However, once you have survived, it leaves you feeling unhappy. For child victims, all you know is how to be a victim, or how to be a survivor, and after a while you know you don’t want to be either; this is when depression sets in or change happens. No one has taught you anything else; you may not even know that there is another option. You are always surviving, and it is tiring, and that is where Your Own University comes in. Just as you learned how to survive, you can and have to learn to live victoriously, happy, joyful and balanced. Children who have grown up in supportive and loving households form their subconscious beliefs from this supportive and trusting place within. For victims of childhood abuse, this could not happen; we formed our subconscious tapes from a place of fear and worry. At Your Own University, we explore the good in life, what is working, and then use it to reset a survivor's old programming from a place of understanding and compassion. We do this in 3 ways through learning how to look at life through the eyes of hope, love and faith by shifting your focus form, what needs to be fixed, and to what is already working. Then we connect with our bodies through yoga, mindset techniques, and nourishment exploring what is and allowing it. During it all, I teach about the importance of a personal relationship with God. All of these programs can be taken online, or the survivor can dive deeper with one-on-one coaching to personalize their experience and to get the most joy for themselves in the fastest time possible. Often after years of healing, it is in our nature to continue healing, and never develop the self-confidence, self acceptance and peace that comes from knowing you survived, you learned from your experiences, and you are complete because of it. At Your Own University, we hold the space for survivors to accept, love and own all of themselves, and see how amazing they are for surviving and for living beyond survival. We teach how to love your life, your body and your energy, and how to trust your relationship with God, and to live victoriously, as if you had a happy childhood.

As children we develop our subconscious thoughts as we learn to live. If you were victimized you learned how to be a victim, then you learned how to survive. You can learn how to live victoriously, joyously and powerfully now. Check out our free video at Y.O.U.
