I called eco three because I see their trucks all over town. I was tired of our upstairs being blazing hot in summer and freezing in the winter. The owner came out to my house to do an inspection on the property. He found lots of inefficiencies and identified how to make my home more enjoyable and cheaper to run. He was very knowledgeable and educated me so I could understand the problems. He took pictures and compiled those into an easy to understand report. Later, he explained the problems with my home and described exactly how he would fix the problems. He explained the costs, benefits, and the process. I hired him on the spot. The work was done when promised, for the price promised, and in a clean and efficient manner. My house is much more comfortable and my bills are cheaper. Thanks Eco Three!Apr 10, 2017Eco Three's reply
Thank you, Vaughn! So happy we could help!
We live in a 1950's ranch style house. It has character and charm, but also typical inefficiencies of a home that age. Eco III did a full evaluation and identified several ways that we could not only reduce our ultility costs, but also improve the overall level of comfort we experienced in our home. From sealing off unnecessary spacing around recessed lighting fixtures to making our attic entryway airtight, we now notice a more comfortable air and temp quality on our main level. Eco III also sealed off the space between our finished basement and the crawl space which resulted in a drastic reduction in humidity in the basement. Upon finishing work, Eco III took as much care to clean up as they took with the actual work. I would certainly recommend Eco III to anyone I know!Apr 4, 2017Eco Three's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? For an Energy Audit/Evaluation we charge $195, and if you have us do any of the upgrade work we recommend then we put that $195 towards your project. Pricing for upgrades varies based on the size of the home and scope of work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically clients call us because they are uncomfortable (rooms heating and cooling unevenly, excessive dust, drafts, etc,), their utility bills are high, or they want to lessen their environmental impact by making their home more energy efficient. We generally perform an in-depth Home Energy Audit (about two hours) during which we check the duct system for leakage, check for gas leaks and CO, run a Blower Door test to quantify air leakage in the home, and take thermal images of problem areas. We then compile the information and photos into a report with a customized scope with line item pricing and return to the client's home to review the report and recommendations. Then clients choose which upgrades they want us to perform, and the job is scheduled. We meet our crew members onsite to introduce them to the client and show them details of the work to be performed. Finally, the work is completed, and the client is more comfortable with lower bills - and happier!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We are all BPI (Building Performance Institute Certified Infiltration and Duct Leakage Professionals; Elizabeth Sanfelippo is a RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) HERS Rater (Home Energy Rating System), a Green Associate with the U.S. Green Building Council, and has a Masters of Science in Environmental Management.
