FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give better prices to elderly people, veterans, and active duty military. My prices are fair and will stand up to scrutiny. You can check Google for anything these days, including the going rate for various home improvement work. Most of the time I’m the lowest bidder when I quote a job. I do this because I always want to be more than fair. Like Walmart, that makes just a tiny bit on every sales because they focus on quantity of sales, I only want to make a little money off of many jobs to be able to help as many people as I can. I have no hidden fees and I can promise you that you will not find a more honest and hardworking handyman.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At first contact, I make sure I’m a good fit for the customer based on the work to be done and my skill set. Then I go to the work site, usually a home, sometimes a commercial business and I make an assessment of the job and provide a quote. If the customer is happy, we draw up a formal quote, we both sign it, and the work begins either immediately or at a another time very soon that works well for both of us. I will always allow the customer time if needed to seek out other quotes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The only way to learn, I mean really learn how to do construction trades, is to learn hands on from experts and that is just what I did. I have been side by side with some of the most brilliant people I have ever met while they do their thing. There are so many tricks of the trade in every trade and often times, there is only one way to do something right. I asked questions and kept at it until eventually I had learned how to do 95% of what a handyman would ever be asked to do, and I also learned how to do it correctly. I worked for myself, I have ran construction crews, I’ve run my own businesses, and all of this is what makes me qualified to come and work for you. I also have spent many years in the technology sector doing support as well as teaching. I don’t claim to be the best handyman around or even the most knowledgeable. That said, I love making people happy and solving problems and I have a proven record of decades of success at doing just that.
