Introduction: because I have pride and passion in the work I do. And it shows when we are finished with the project. I had a friend call that was doing work for screening in a porch. He had told he after he finished the job,his nail gun had ripped a very small hole in the screen. You would not been able to tell it. But he tore it down and re did it because he has pride & passion in his work as well. We finished a dry wall and sod work after cleaning it up in a wooded area. He stepped back and said look what we have done. All of my employees loves the work they do. They are Artist's. They don't put it on a canvas. They put it in your yard to admire daily. Standing back and seeing what we did for our customer. We take pictures before and after to show step by step of our progress. We were on one project nine months. Have a lot of pictures from that one. When you are able to visualize what you will be doing for your customer then your able to start the process of making it happen.

Do not give this man money up front -- you will not see him again. He requests cost of all materials needed including cost of renting large equipment with labor paid upon completion, but he doesn't come back and only answers calls if you threaten to contact authorities. He has plenty of excuses including weather, health - blood sugar or blood pressure, this or that, and has never completed work. We had a fairly large job and gave him a large amount of money and he has never been seen again. I even offered to call it even by asking him to do a much smaller job (putting down mulch, small amount of trimming, and a few small things like this). This would by far be in his favor and he still would have been overpaid. He agreed to this but again never showed and did not answer our calls again. He will tell you he is "honest" and "very sorry for" this or for that "and he totally intends to do the job". That "he is not going to cheat us out of our money because his mother raised him better than that." Wish he would represent his mother better than he does or leave her name out of it! Seems he has found an easier way to make money than doing the real work. Wish we had found some negative reviews online when we looked him up back in late November 2012!! Been trying to get him to do the job or smaller ones and call it even ever since with the last attempt being August 2013 and again no show!!

I did have and still do have life an death issues with diabities trying to get under control. They moved and i have not been able to contact to return deposit

Don Harbin is not only punctual and friendly, but his prices are so reasonable and he always does a quality job. I am pretty sure he is capable of anything. Highly Recomended!

Ripoff artist. He takes money up front and then disappears. He says he needs money up front for "supplies" What a crock any reputable business person does not even conduct business that way. Stay the hell away!

We did a sprinkler install for Peter. Explained where we would tie it in at as a new zone. He agreed. After we did all the work installing and ready to use the system. He decided that he wanted us to go under three driveways to tie the water line in to the front of the house. Told him I didn't have a machine that would tunnel under all those driveways and did not want to risk cracking them. He said he wanted it done at my expense. I refused. He agreed to it being done the first time. What he deposited did cover supplies. I did the work. He never paid for the labor and stole all my equipment I had in his yard to do the work. Bout $5000.00 worth of equipment. Lawyers are handling it.

Related to review dated Feb 24, 2014 which Don replied to in May 2014 saying that we had moved and he couldn't find us to give us our $ back.... We haven't moved (though we thought we might be) - but our cell phone numbers have not changed, and our emails are also the same....plenty of ways for him to contact us if he had any intention of giving us our money back!! Do not pay $ up front for any job. He proved to us he is not trustworthy to stay true to his word or contract.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mom bought a new home in 1971, when I was 13. It had bad drainage problems,no trees or bushes. Yard looked bad. I go by the property when I'm in the area. I planted two tree's in the front yard. one was hit by lightning and the other is still standing. Brought Top soil in to correct the water flow and stop soil erosion. Planted grass sprigs. Didn't have sod then. Most kids my age had paper routes. I had a Lawn business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
we done drywall repairs,replace carpet,french drains added,landscaping flowerbeds,yards.Done repairs at Providence Main Street Lofts. We done sod and add sprinkler systems. Added berms to stop soil erosion. Jack hammer concrete around a swimming pool to fill it in. clean up property. Paint houses. cut down trees and grind stumps. removed large stumps from the ground. remodeled a house. Took a low bearing wall out and added three columes for support. To expand a living room. We put in concrete drains and added concrete parking spaces. Built retaining walls. Re-landscaped ten acres for Bill Gurley. Bush hog areas. Hauled off debris. Cleaned up after a Tornados.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask for references. And when your emailing asking someone to come and look at your property include your phone number so they can call you to make arrangements to come an give you an estimate. And our estimates are FREE. We have plenty of references and repeat customers. Always looking for new customers and new challenges. Call the references and verify the work. Or if you are in the area go by and see what was done. We go above and beyond what is expected of the job we do. That makes our customers very happy. And word of mouth is the best advertising around.
