Introduction: I’m a people and fine art photographer. I love to take sharp, detailed images of people and artistic subject matter and then artfully enhance the images to bring out the best in every image while retaining the integrity of the image and subject.
My style of photography aims to be very modern, yet artful with a slight dramatic flair. I typically like bold colors, dynamic composition, and extremely clear detailed photography. As a fine art photographer, I do employ a number of image processing techniques to my images so that the end product is a fully polished image, yet I do try to stay true to the original subject matter as well. Digital cameras can be cold and emotionless, not like human eyes that are colored by experience and emotion, as such image editing is employed to turn the cold, harsh, emotionless image captured by a machine into something relatable and emotional.
I am based in Leeds Alabama but will travel for projects wherever is needed. I shoot a lot of portraiture for individuals, families, and couples, as well as events and weddings, and my equal passion for fine art photography, which is mostly whatever I come across from day to day that I believe has artistic merit and is worth showing in an idealized image.

I have always been intrigued by photography and loved beautiful images. About 15 years ago I was given my first DSLR camera for Christmas I shot all that I could. In the following years, I took dozens of classes and read a multitude of books on the subject of photography. Eventually, I started to teach photography to others and then I felt like God was calling me to pursue photography as a career and Scott Cobb Photography was born.
My goal is to show others the beauty of people, places and most importantly themselves through outstanding images. I want to give people something of meaning that they will value for the rest of their lives. I want to show people beauty that they may have never seen or noticed before. I strive to take regular people and photograph them in engaging situations that highlight all the good things about them. I want people to look at photo’s of themselves and realize that they are beautiful people, inside and out. The most meaningful compliments I have been given is when someone tells me a picture I took of them is the best they have ever seen, not so much because I took it, but because I have shown them the beauty I see in them and given them something meaningful. Making someone feel good about themselves and the way they look in a picture is priceless to me. I would do this for free if it paid the bills somehow.
