I hired Crowell Electric to put in some z-wave automatic switches. Before hiring him, I asked if he was familiar with the specific brand of devices that I wanted installed behind my light switches. He said he was very familiar and that it would not be a problem.
From the time he showed up until two hours later, it was obvious that he was not familiar, as he had not installed one of the 10 switches requested. He didn't seem to know how to install them, and there was always an issue.
He was 2 hours late for the scheduled appointment. He did text me an hour prior to let me know he would be 2-2 1/2 hours late.
He identified another issue with my secondary electric box in the house, but that was about all the work he did.
After discussing some issues with customer service, and him trying to convince me that his being late was something that I should just deal with and understand, his wife (partner) jumped into the conversation. She was very rude, and insulted me in my own home. Jeremy didn't do anything about it, until the 5th time I asked his wife to leave my house, and he finally told her to leave.
From that point I told him to finish what he was doing, put everything back, and leave my house. I feel him and I could have worked things out, possibly, but his wife made the situation very hostile.
I wrote a check for Jeremys time, and he then insulted me as to if my check would bounce, because he didn't trust my check.
Jeremy may know what he is doing with other electrical contracts, but with anything automated, he does not. It was very obvious that he overplayed his experience to get the contract. His wife (business partner) is rude and she doesn't understand customer service.
Lastly, she called the cops, not sure why, and after a discussion with both police officers, they assured me I was well within my rights as a customer and home owner.
I would not recommend Crowell Electrics for any kind of project, due to their lack of honesty about knowledge of the business, and their complete lack of disrespect for the customer.
