FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to have new clients first and foremost come in for a free session. Before the session begins, I like to talk about workout history, goals new customers may have, and what my training looks like on a daily basis. We then go through a simple workouts session - I want new customers to get a feel for my training style and see if they enjoy the environment of the studio.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer. I studied for six months before taking and passing the exam to achieve the certification. Along with that, I have been a soccer player since I was five years old. I played collegiate soccer and was a captain for two years. My background in soccer has been extremely supplemental in my training techniques and knowledge.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I graduated with a Communications Degree and a minor in Management. After graduating I immediately began a job as an administrative assistant for a title company. I realized that sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day wasn't for me - my heart and body are too adventurous and I knew that was not what I am passionate about. I learned of the National Academy of Sports Medicine and began studying to take my Certified Personal Trainer test - I studied for about 6 months and then passed my test. I quickly realized that fitness is where my heart is. I get so excited about the passion I have for fitness and the joy that comes with helping others through exercise.
