Introduction: I offer lessons to students of all ages and skill levels for reasonable rates. I also offer online lessons. I have extensive education and experience. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Arkansas Tech University in Vocal Music Education/Piano, and I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Arkansas State University. My job allows me to interact with clients from many different backgrounds, but studying music together creates common ground for everyone.

I took lessons from Allen via Skype, which worked out very well. He helped me with the basics of lead guitar playing as well as blues and the classic country 'chicken picking' style. Each week's lesson was a combination of technique and music theory as well as getting to work on several guitar solos of my choice. As a bonus, I learned quite a lot about reading music which helps me with leading choral music at my church. Allen is very patient and easy to work with. Even though we were communicating thru Skype, everything went well and it seemed like we were in the same room! Classic country was not something Allen had ever played before, but he was willing to go above and beyond to learn it himself in order to teach it to me. I learned a lot from Allen and I highly recommend him as a guitar/music instructor!

Allen is an excellent instructor. Very knowledgeable and knows how to get the best out of his students. I've studied Piano Guitar and Voice under him. Great teacher and also great friend! Highly recommend him to anyone wanting to excel in music.

Allen is a very talented musician who is very easy to work with! He accompanied my young students in their recital and not only played beautifully but also supported their efforts with great care. He saved them from crashing several times. He had to invent a piano accompaniment with only chords and melody given on one piece! He also did a beautiful guitar accompaniment with one student. He had to drag his amp and stands to the recital!. He also volunteered to video our recital! I highly recommend him to work with.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat monthly rate. This rate includes a private lesson and access to an hour long group lesson. 30 minute weekly lesson- $90 a month 1 hour weekly lesson- $180 a month
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Arkansas State University. I am an MTNA member and I just attended the national conference in Las Vegas in March of 2015.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Music has always been a joyous hobby for me, so it only made sense to turn what I love into a career. This has been the best career move of my life. I also greatly enjoy sharing the gift of music with students of all ages.
