I decided to use Evans and his sons for a few home improvement projects (wood fence install, crawl space lights install, and garage ceiling repair) because among all the bidders, they were the only one who are able to start right away. And I wish I had NEVER chosen them!! Where to begin with this terrible experience? Well, I was being nice to pay them off before they got the whole job done (which I believe is my bad), and guess what? Although they promised they will come next day, they got the money and disappeared right away, and no longer responded to me! They did completed the fence and crawls space lights install, however the work could not be more horribly done! The fence runs through exactly the middle of a cable communication box, into my gutter downspout, because they didn't set the posts in the right position in the first place, and they refuse to fix it, because apparently resetting up posts is too much work for them! They also tried to use defective materials as much as they could, hoping that I wouldn't notice! The fence gates were full of problem too! On one (single) gate there is a two inch gap between the gate and the post, which I was told is left that wide on purpose for gate sagging. One the other (double) gate, there is no space between those gates at all. The double gates are touching and scratching each other already and I have to try pretty hard with lot of force every time I get them open. Now my fence contains wooden planks, a plastic box, and a metal tubing, with one gate having a big gap, and the other gate(s) that barely opens. How fancy is that!?... The crawl space lights install was also done badly! I asked them to install 6 lights, and all 6 lights were put pretty close to the entrance, which barely covers half of my crawl space area, because they didn't want to crawl further!...Overall, I could not be more disappointed and angrier with Evans and his sons (and my decision of choosing them)! They are just a bunch of guys that are lazy, unprofessional and definitely can't be trusted! Stay away from them! DON'T EVER do any business with them! Or I assure you will be as regretful as I am!

Evans and Sons were very good to work with. They were professional, responsive to my needs and worked with me every step of the way through my project. They pointed out future trouble spots without trying to pressure me into more work than I contracted for and they worked very fast. Although they estimated my work to be completed in about 2.5 days, they finished the project in two. Evans and Sons were professional, courteous and very pleasurable to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Although the project did go over-budget somewhat, that was due somewhat to the rise in cost of materials, and discovering major wood issues on my deck that were hidden until the work was started (hidden water rot), and even with the additional damage to be repaired, Evans and Sons did not pull any high pressure tactics to force me into the additional repairs. They simply advised me and let me make the call. Considering all these factors, the final price was not that far off projections and the overall experience left me wanting to work with them again. In fact I already have another project scheduled, have planned another large project in the spring, and possibly two more as well. I guess that says it all!

Deck power washing and staining with waterseal. This was done efficiently, quickly, and at a reasonable price. the crew was friendly and well mannered. All the materials and debris was cleaned each day. I highly recommend John.

It is sometimes difficult to have a pricing system when so many different types of services are needed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with them and discuss what work needs to be done. Getting a visual of what the job is makes it much easier to give an accurate price.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked a lot of construction type jobs for many years. I have had experience in building from foundation to roof and everything in between.
