Introduction: My name is Jeremy Kelley. I'm a licensed wedding officiant, with the States of Arkansas and Oklahoma. Please read below, for answers to commonly asked questions.
Q. Can you give us the ceremony we want?
A. Yes! It's YOUR wedding. You can write your own vows, design your own ceremony, have the wedding YOU want! If you'd like suggestions for readings, poems, music, etc, I can help with that.
Q. What's your experience?
A. I am well experienced in wedding ceremonies. I have performed outside weddings, hotel weddings, weddings in old theaters, and even a wedding in a dark, candle-lit room.
Q. Are you flexible with locations?
A. Yes. I travel to the location of your choice. Churches, parks, theaters, waterfalls, although I think i would have to draw the line on sky diving. ;)
Q. What are your credentials?
A. That's a great question and an important one. You probably wouldn't prefer to have a mail-order minister perform the most important ceremony of your lives! I am a seminary graduate, and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Systematic Theology from Global University, in Springfield, MO. I was licensed and ordained by the Assemblies of God, and later by the Independent Ministers and Spiritual Council. I served as a Youth Pastor for a number of years.
Q. How often will we meet?
A. As often as you'd like. I'm available for pre-marital counseling, if you'd like. It's usually one night a week, for 4 weeks. I am also available for he rehearsal day, if you're having a rehearsal. You may contact me by phone, text or email anytime, if you have questions.
Q. How much do you charge?
A. Typical charge is $75. This fee includes initial consultation, ceremony preparation, travel time and expenses, and ceremony performance. This price does NOT include pre-marital counseling, which is $120 for all sessions.
Q. Will you be joining us at the reception?
A. No. your wedding reception is a time for you and your new spouse to celebrate with your family and friends and those that are close to you. While many of the couples I've married invite me to attend the reception, I respectfully decline. I offer my best wishes and congratulations and be on my way, so you can enjoy the rest of your big day.
