FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to get to know your style! We’ll start by having a friendly chat to understand your vision, preferences, and requirements. This helps me grasp your style, budget, and any specific needs. Then we’ll check out your space either in person or virtually, your preference. Together we’ll talk about your layout, lighting, and existing design elements. This firsthand observation is crucial for creating a tailored plan. Next I’ll develop design concepts that align with your preferences and functional needs. We’ll refine these concepts together until we achieve a vision you love. We’ll discuss the budget realistically to ensure that the design plan fits within your financial parameters. I’ll offer options and suggestions to optimize costs without compromising quality. Your input is invaluable throughout the process. We’ll collaborate closely on selecting furniture, colors, materials, and accessories to create a space that reflects your personality and lifestyle. Your satisfaction is my priority. I’ll welcome your feedback at every stage and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the end result exceeds your expectations. Throughout the process, my goal is to make the experience enjoyable and stress-free while delivering a design that enhances your space and enriches your life.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I recently completed a course in home staging and interiors from NY Institute of Art and Design and am currently studying to pass the certification exam. I have done extensive hours of research and home tours and designed and operated a successful short term rental in Scottsdale. Guests’ who stayed at that unit always raved of the interior design, cleanliness and thoughtful amenities.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve always been interested in interior design. My dad is a realtor and I loved tagging along to look at houses. We would talk about how we could improve every space we walked through. I’ve lived in many houses and apartments, with various floorplans, in diverse cities and states during my life. I find joy in constantly designing and changing interiors to reflect the needs and tastes of that era of my life. Although it’s not my primary career, I spend a lot of time looking at design thinking about how spaces can be enhanced to complete the right vibe and feel.
