FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge by the Project. Example of Project Pricing: If you have your "Honey-Do List" together of say 10 different items that need repaired, installed, or upgraded, we give you a total dollar amount for what we'll charge to complete your list in labor dollars. (For parts and materials, they are always at cost off the actual receipts we paid out on your behalf). So prior to us starting any work, you'll know how much your completed "Honey-Do List" will cost you. VERY seldom we do hourly charges where you are charged for actual time to complete one or many repairs, installs, or upgrades including travel time to obtain parts and materials required to complete your projects to your satisfaction. Also, any job(s) guess-timated to be over $500.00 require a 50% down payment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Respond ASAP to phone calls or text messages. Find out the area(s) they have needs in along with any details of time request for completion or deadlines. Inquire as to the budget they have set aside for their projects. Explain how our pricing and materials cost, work hours, commitment to clean-up and other factors work. Answer any questions or concerns. Schedule date to begin.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My Dad was a Union Electrician all his life and of course would take on side-jobs. I began at about 12 years old accompanying him to learn the ropes. Of course, being around the trades and loving to know how things work, I was always taking things apart, much to my fathers dismay, at times. By the time I had my own home, I was doing my own repairs and upgrades so eventually, after my Dad passed, I also took care of my Mothers home and her rentals. Plus, both my sisters were in need of home maintenance on a regular basis so I continued learning in an effort to make sure everyone was taken care of. Eventually, requests for help outside family and friends developed and I was on a life-long journey to fix whatever, whenever the need arose.
