Introduction: My passion is help creative inventors realize their ideas and develop their products. I am pleased to see that the American spirit of innovation is alive and well! There are many who see a need, come up with creative ways to solve problems and just need some help with solid modelling work, prototype creation and perhaps technical development. This is where I come in! I offer engineering design services, solid modeling, analysis (FEA), sizing and stress analysis, product development and reverse engineering. I can design parts to be 3D printed, injection molded, plastiformed, fabricated and machined. I have several 3D printers (including the Markforged X7) capable of producing the first prototypes to verify form, fit and function. The speed at which prototypes can be produced significantly reduces time to market and allows for additional iterations in design for optimized function and aesthetics. I have designed parts in the aerospace and automotive industries as well as consumer product, electro-mechanical and medical device, in both commercial and military applications. If you're serious about bringing your product to market, give me a call!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge an hourly rate of $60 and typically provide "not to exceed" cost estimates once I know the scope of a project.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first meeting is free while I gather information about the project. Typically NDAs are put into place. Once the terms are agreed upon I typically receive 20% up front and the remainder on delivery of product.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BA in Aerospace engineering and a green belt in Six Sigma. I am trained in FAA and JAA (Europe's equivalent of the FAA) requirements as well as NRC (nuclear regulatory commission) certifications and NIJ armor certifications.
