Mike Jordan tutored me with my college-level math and spanish courses. He did a great job explaining the information in a clear and understandable way. He was always willing to make time in his schedule to help me out and it was clear that his purpose was to help me achieve my learning goals. I got A's in all of my classes that received his help. I highly recommend Mike as a tutor!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I needed to make a little extra money while still maintaining a flexible schedule so I can spend time with my wife and daughters. I enjoy teaching people, so tutoring is a good fit.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

tutoring in a variety of types of math including algebra and calculus, and tutoring in Spanish

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for someone that you learn from. Don't be afraid to tell the tutor that you need to find a new one. Your education is too important (and often expensive) to waste your time and talent working with a tutor that is not providing value to you. Even the best teacher matched with the best student may not be the best combination. Sometimes as students we have trouble learning from certain teachers. It could be due to a clash of learning/teaching styles or a personality mismatch.
