FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use three different pricing methods. The first is a fixed price for a specific service. For example, I prepare beneficiary deeds for $200.00 and I prepare wills for $500.00. The second fee type is a contingent fee for personal injury cases. In this situation the client's fee comes entirely from the recovery obtained for the client. In most cases the fee is 1/3 of the damages for the personal injury. The final type of fee is an hourly rate for situations where the amount of my time required to resolve the issue cannot be accurately estimated at the start. In this case my standard fee is $250.00 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet to review the client's situation and legal needs. This provides me an opportunity to present the client with options going forward and the costs associated with each path. This meeting also provides the client with the opportunity to see if we can work well together in an attorney client setting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor of science in engineering and a juris doctor from the University of Notre Dame. I have many years experience dealing with all types of business issues, estate planning issues and various types of trial matters including contracts and personal injury cases.
