Prior Employee U.
Feb 27, 2015
Bryan Dinwiddie does not pay his employees!!! He hires people telling them that they will be paid by the hour when the job is done, when the job is done he tells the employees that they are independent contractors and that they will need to fight with the homeowners if they want to get paid. He is a horrible excuse of a human being. He is sloppy, takes 3 days to bring supplies to working crews and then complains that the work isn't getting done in a timely matter... Also if you look on Arizona Registrar of Contractors he doesn't have a contracting license!!!!! He used to an then violated it.... Additionally if you look on AZ Public access to court information you will find pages of charges where he either didn't complete work or didn't pay the people that HE hired!!!

I chose this contractor because he had experience flipping houses and his bid was the cheapest. I certainly got what I deserved by choosing the cheapest bid. The painting of the walls and ceilngs was done by a paint sprayer which produces a nice outcome. However, what the contractor did not tell me is that the aerosolized paint gets everywhere despite covering surfaces with plastic. This painting method should NOT be used within occupied homes as it requires a thorough cleaning after application which was certainly not a priority for this crew. Anything they touched was smudged with dirty hand prints. The crew was very inexperienced except for the person manning the spray gun. They were poorly supervised and damaged furniture, a wall light control and scratched a washing machine. The doors that they painted I had to redo myself. They were supposed to repair dents in the wall which they did not do. My guest bathroom was a disaster with paint splatter on the shower curtain, mirror, fixtures, etc. Items that were removed prior to painting were not reinstalled properly. This contractor should be avoided at all costs. I am still finding and addressing issues from this project.
The Handyman Painting and Decorating's reply
To Mr. Garcia. and anyone else who reads his misguiding review. I wish if someone was going to post something they would tell the whole story and not a partial one. there are always 2 sides to every story. Yes I admit I had a couple of bad employees who was terminated during the job. But what Mr Garcia is not stating is the guest bath was cleaned up and both on floor and fixtures the next morning BY MY CREW and Ray himself said it looked good. and there were only 3 doors that he was not happy with not a bunch of Doors BUT the paint was OLD paint he had setting around and stated for us to use it. so we are not responsible for the outcome since we didn't purchase it so I cant guaranty an OLD paint. And it was the Paint sprayer guy (my superintendent) who fixed the 3 doors that Mr. Garcia stated he knew what he was doing. all things were put back Properly and we were not hired to move furniture nor were we responsible for anything that was damaged. MR Garcia was told this when he ask us to move his Furniture and washer and dryer. I told MR Garcia if he needed help we would already be there. Not for us to move everything with no help from MR Garcia only watched. And there was a supervisor on the job at all times which was the Spray man he is refuring to and The dents that we found were addressed and fixed. At the end of his job Mr. Garcia was told to do a walk through with us and put stickers everywhere he found a place that needed to be touched up and he did so and all the places got touched up just like he wanted. It the same process as when you buy a new home. so if it got missed its because he didn't find it at the time. As MR Garcia was told if he found anything to give me a call to date I have not received a call. we do this to ensure that anything the owner wants touched up we do before we are done. which once the Job is done and paid for then he has excepted the outcome. and he stated we did a good job even though we had a cpl of bad employees like most company's do. Mr. Garcia even got a free garage Floor painted out of this and we pulled and fixed 3 damaged porcelain tiles he had and asked if I could fix them for him. and we didn't charge for them as well. As far as his damaged furniture. I have a witness that was there when Mr. Garcia stated he would move his own furniture before we started any room. But when we got there he only removed the Pictures on walls and His office room. The rest my workers had to move because the owner was to busy to do so on his computer. he was there the hole time because he runs his business out of his house and was constantly checking out the work and he also knew the difference Between Spraying the walls and Brush and roll and was told everything Pryor to signing the contract. Mr. Garcia was also complaining about his Block layer contractor and the guy he bought his house from. so this should explain the type of person he is. On every contract once you have paid the final bill you've inspected and okayed the work that has been done. so this is on Mr. Garcia and not his contractors. MR Garcia asked my company to leave touch up paint because he him self stated that there will be things he and we missed. If infact MR Garcia has a problem with the work my company did I would be more than happy to address the problem with him. But as to date I have not received a phone call. If infact I did shotty work I would not work for two major investors in the state of Arizona. for over two years if anyone would like to contact the investors I would be more than happy to give you there numbers. I am saddened to have to address this matter. On untruths or half truths. thank you Bryan
