FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self taught in everything I do within the web design industry. Once you get the basics everything is pretty simple. Its learning totally new things where it bottle necks and things slow at times.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got in web design sort of by accident. I used to own a machine shop and after having to close the business do to medical issues. I tried to look for other work, with no luck for 18 months. I played around on the computer when the internet was really getting big. Way back in 1996. I taught myself how do design websites. And designed sites for friends and friends of friends and their businesses. After I really got the hang of it I placed ads in my local newspaper and (Pennysaver). I got clients and built a modest client base in Southern California. And have been here since. I enjoy this industry. I don't have any plans on leaving it. I would like to get back into school to learn even more advanced programming.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish that any new customer would think about going to godaddy or yahoo for their web design. The services are ok AND cheap, but you don't get the quality service.
