- What types of customers have you worked with?
Review trial balances and make adjusting journal entries where need and prepare financial statements. We also do payroll for a variety of clients with some that have employees in multiple states. We can utilize direct deposit for employees and sub-contractors and we do all of the employer reporting at the end of the quarter. For the clients in Arizona, we will also prepare the TPT reports on a monthly basis. We also offer bookkeeping services at a lower fee along with bank reconciliations. Tax return preparation is another common job that we do. We can do multiple state returns and we have Canadian clients which we prepare their US tax returns.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask if they will provide you with a name and phone number of three of their clients and call and talk to them about the services that they offer. Have them provide you with personal references to make sure that this is the type of person you can work with. Find out if they belong to any organization that can also attest to who they are and if they are trustworthy. Providing your financial information to a stranger is troubling at best. Make sure that you can trust them and if anything troubles you, talk to them or pull your business away.
