I couldnt be more satisfied with the law offices of Jeffery Herman and Dessert Disability. They handled my case with professionalism and kindness. Unlike other Disability firms I dealt with. Mr. Herman was always available if needed, but my direct contact person was Sydney who did an amazing job helping me put my case together and always called me back within hours and sometimes after hours to make sure I was all right and to address my concerns. There are a million disability law firms out there....Why choose Desert Disability? I personally only chose them for their excellent reviews and that they were local. Now im here writing one myself. From day one I was shocked by the way I was treated. Which was more like an old friend then just another client. The authentic and genuine warmth (that they actually cared and were extreamly motivated to ensure that I prevailed and won my SSDI case) immediately became evident. I tend to set the bar very high and am not happy unless it is exceeded. These people literally exceeded all of the expectations that I had. Beginning from day one --to the last day of the process-- (where I was triumphant and joyous of my approval)!!! So, why are these people so good? Charity, the paralegal on my case, became like a sister to me. A sister who always said it how it was versus being fake and only saying what she thought I wanted to hear. Knowledge is power! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our firm works on contingency, which means we only collect an attorney fee if we are successful in winning your disability claim. Clients are responsible for out-of-pocket expenses incurred in the development of the disability claim. Expenses are very low, and we collect a retainer at the start of a new case of $100 to cover those expenses. The retainer is held in a trust account, and the unused portion of the retainer is returned to the client at the end of their case.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New clients are encouraged to call our office or visit us on the web for a free disability claim assessment. We will review the information and either offer representation, provide a referral, or offer other help or guidance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a practicing attorney since 2013 and have been helping clients get approved for Social Security Disability benefits since 2018. I regularly attend Social Security Disability hearings and am very familiar with all the Administrative Law Judges in Arizona and other states. I am a proud member of the National Association of Disability Representatives, attend annual conferences to stay up to speed on changes in SSA regulations and sponsor various community events.
