FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard is to check average prices and charge considerably less. I'm definitely not in it to get rich. I'm in it to help people save money and to share my talents and skills.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to include them as much as possible if they want to help. Teaching them some tricks I have learned and making them feel like they did the project and I helped. Depending on their interest, I will do some light maintenance while I am there. I offer finders fees if they know anyone else that could use my services.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have always been handy at mechanical things. When I was 14 years old I put a switch leg in the laundry room of our house in an unfinished basement. My dad hired an electrician to inspect it without my knowledge. Years later my mother told me about it and added the electrician stated "...it was to code!" (I had done some research and went to the store on my bicycle.)
