Brandon is the Managing Attorney at the Law Firm of Brandon S. Schwartz, P.C. Prior to founding the firm, Brandon worked in the Corporate practice of the New York office of DLA Piper, a global law firm, through a post-graduate fellowship program provided by the Two-Year JD Honors Program at New York Law School. During this experience, Brandon was involved in a broad range of corporate matters including corporate governance, due diligence, initial public offerings, and M&A transactions. Additionally, Brandon worked as an attorney and consultant for small and mid-size law firms, working on corporate and real estate matters, as well as in-house for small businesses in a variety of business and legal counsel roles.
Brandon graduated cum laude from New York Law School as an inaugural member of the Two-Year Accelerated JD Honors Program, completing 86 credits over two continuous years without break. At New York Law School, he served as a Contracts Teaching Assistant, Treasurer of the New York Law School Sports Law Society, and student associate with the Center for Business and Financial Law, while completing an internship with the Consumer Fraud and Protection Bureau of the New York State Attorney General. Moreover, Brandon organized a school running team for the American Heart Association’s annual Wall Street Run dubbed “New York Law School Runs Wall Street,” and participated in Pencil’s after school case law program at the Martin Luther King Jr. High School for Law, Advocacy and Community Justice, preparing high school students for a mock trial involving fourth amendment unreasonable search and seizure law.
Prior to law school, Brandon attended Syracuse University for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated with a Triple Major, magna cum laude, in Professional Accounting, Finance, and Economics. While at Syracuse University, Brandon served as president and treasurer of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, active member of the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honors Fraternity through weekly financial and managerial accounting tutoring, and as a teaching assistant for the course Audit Theory and Practice. Additionally, Brandon was inducted into the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society for high performance distinction in Economic Coursework and participated in the six-week summer abroad program at the London School of Economics, taking courses in European Economics and Strategic Human Resources. Furthermore, Brandon passed all four parts of the Certified Public Accounting Examination (CPA), worked as an auditor in Big 4 public accounting at Ernst & Young and PwC, and graduated with a Masters in Accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington, where he served as a Teaching Assistant for the course Money and Banking, and was a member of the four-person team crowned Kelley School of Business Graduate Accounting Consulting Competition Champions.
During his spare time, Brandon enjoys traveling internationally and competing in IRONMAN triathlons. He has visited every continent (excluding Antarctica) and has finished fourteen triathlons, including nine full distance IRONMAN Triathlons across four continents, in addition to the NYC Marathon and 60K Knickerbocker Ultramarathon. Most notably, Brandon completed the 2019 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i as a member of Team IRONMAN Foundation after winning the IRONMAN Foundation’s annual Kona drawing and was named a 2023 IRONMAN All World Athlete.
Brandon is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of International Trade, and affiliated with the American Bar Association and New York State Bar Association. Brandon is also a Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) conferred by the Corporate Finance Institute, has a Specialization Certificate in “Regulatory Compliance” from the University of Pennsylvania, a Certificate in “Sports Industry Essentials” from the Columbia University School of Professional Studies and a Certificate in “Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills” from the University of Michigan.See more
