Wedding Ceremony Music

Working with Greg was such a stress-free and amazing experience! I sent over the songs and from there he was an amazing professional. He came to the rehearsal and impressed all my family and friends. On the wedding day, I was so nervous, but walking down to the most amazing song played by Greg calmed me down. My guests could not stop commenting how amazing the music was and how it really made them appreciate the moment of the day. Thank you again Greg, I cannot imagine my day with out your help!!

Greg played for my father's Celebration of Life service, and did a wonderful job. He was prompt in responding to messages, made great suggestions, and took initiative to look up and play a song he hadn't previously heard of that we wanted to be played. He was on time, and very professional. Most importantly, he played beautifully. We were very happy to have Greg be a key part of my dad's service.

Greg played the piano for our wedding and it was amazing! I sent him one specific song I wanted played and then trusted him to pick the rest of the music for the ceremony and I was right to do so! He is incredibly talented, fun and professional and overall such a blessing to have worked with! Our wedding day music was flawless!

I hired Gregory to play piano at my wedding ceremony a few months ago, and I could not have been any happier with his performance! He is a skilled musician who is easy to work with, professional, punctual, and he thoroughly impressed our guests with his incredible gift. He even worked with me on finding music for the ceremony, making some suggestions on songs that turned out beautifully. I recommend him very highly for any event!

My wife and I were married in August 2013. We were fortunate enough to be able to rent a grand piano for the ceremony, and having known Greg for a while, we asked him to perform at our wedding. Due to some of my family members running a bit late, Greg hit the piano a little early to entertaining the crowd with his own compositions, as we waited for them to arrive. I'd requested that Greg play my wife and I's favorite piano piece, Gymnopedie No. 1 by Erik Satie as my wife came down the aisle, and then Un Sospiro by Franz Liszt once we were married and walking together down from the altar. It was perfect! I even cried a little bit. Having the grand piano and a professional at the help really gave our wedding a touch of class that our guests appreciated. We're so thankful to have had such a talented man and good friend play at our wedding!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In addition to having earned advanced degrees in composition and piano performance, I stay current in my field by following living composers and new music, and even read academic journals on musicology.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always been passionate about music, and started performing and teaching part-time as a teenager. After earning a college degree in business, and working for a local entrepreneur in my hometown of NY, I decided to embrace risk and pursue what I felt compelled to pursue: I enrolled in graduate school and earned a master's and doctorate in music. Now I do what I feel I was designed to do.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

As a performer, I play piano for wedding ceremonies, and sometimes for the cocktail hour after the ceremony. I have also played for local fundraisers, University celebrations, and church services. As a piano teacher, I have worked with students from age 5 to 65, whether beginners or advanced students.
