FAQs
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently a woman who was training a guide dog asked me to come to her home to photograph her dog before the puppy went on to her final training and on to be adopted. The woman's other dog was a rescue who was afraid of the camera. I was able to get creative with bacon in my pockets and a long lens to capture the family interacting with the two dogs.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Talk to the photographer. Look at their work. Meet with person and develop a relationship if possible. Find out how the photos will be delivered if in printed photos, disc or flash drive. Will editing be an extra cost? How many images are you the client expecting? In a group setting such as a reunion or wedding how will they be sure to capture all the right moments and people at your event?
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
In todays age of everyone having a camera and cellphone people are often caught in unflattering poses and not at their personal best. Using a professional photographer is not like that. It is our greatest wish that the client treasure the images and enjoy the experience so much that they want to do it again.
