FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Discounts & Fees a. For any work, all customers are required to pay a 50%, non-refundable deposit to pay for materials and start work. Payments are due as per the contract schedule and are to be paid by check, cash, or credit/debit card. All remaining balances are ALWAYS due immediately upon completion of the job. Any variance to this policy must be agreed upon and in writing. Late charges will be immediately assessed on all balances not paid following contract terms. The customer agrees to pay any collection cost incurred by us related to the collection process of outstanding balances, including, but not limited to, placing a mechanic’s lien on the property. b. For any job over $200 in value and the customer chooses to pay by electronic invoice or credit card, a card processing fee of 3% will be added to the overall price. * I give 10% discount to veterans and first-responders (Police, Firefighters, EMT/Paramedics) *
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process begins with a consultation, either in person or over the phone, where we discuss the customer's vision, requirements, and budget. We aim to understand the scope of the project, the materials preferred, and any specific design elements the customer desires. Following this, we provide a detailed proposal, including a sketch or digital rendering of the project, timeline, and cost estimate. Once the proposal is approved and the deposit received, we schedule the work to begin. Throughout the process, we maintain open communication with the customer to ensure their satisfaction and to make any necessary adjustments.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My expertise in woodworking is largely self-taught, cultivated through years of hands-on experience and a deep passion for the craft. While I do not have formal educational credentials in woodworking, my skills have been honed through extensive research, experimentation, and practice. I have also learned from a community of woodworkers, both online and in local workshops, where shared knowledge and techniques have greatly contributed to my proficiency. This continuous, self-directed learning has allowed me to develop a unique style and approach to woodworking, emphasizing creativity, precision, and sustainability.
