FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is always a delicate matter. My fees are competitive with the local market, probably a bit below. Initial quotes sent are probabilities because most of the time there is not enough information provided in the solicitation. Exact quotes can be provided once the full project scope is known.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My approach for residential projects is to attempt to know my client, their lifestyle, desires and ultimate goals. Obtain their budget requirements and provide preliminary designs meeting this criteria. The process is considerably different on commercial clients. Client knowledge is still established but the information relating to the business function is considerably more extensive.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Arizona State University majoring in Architecture and Construction Management. I received my registration as an Architect in 1982. Architecture and Construction is an constantly evolving industry with new materials, techniques and equipment developments. Continuing education, in my case, is association with professional groups, forums, publications and seminars. Experience is also a great teacher.
