River outsourced my project without communicating it, and the quality of the work was poor. The project was never completed, and communication was inconsistent and difficult. He only offered a partial refund after failing to deliver, and I did not receive the service I paid for. Overall, this felt unprofessional and unacceptable.

For context, this was originally a $1,500 project, and the timeline was not defined by a written deadline. As a production business, using editing support when needed is a normal part of the workflow, and my goal was always to keep the project moving forward and provide usable materials.
When concerns were raised, I worked with Shelby directly to resolve the matter. The project was ultimately settled for a reduced amount, while access was still provided to the revised edits, raw footage, drone footage, and additional project files through the Drive.
After this review was posted, Shelby confirmed by text that he received everything from the Drive, appreciated the follow-through, considered the payment settled, and considered the project closed.
While the project did not end the way either side originally expected, I’m glad we were able to reach a resolution and close it out professionally.
