Introduction

All of my furniture is handcrafted from solid hardwood. I make one piece of furniture at a time, and I use time tested traditional joinery methods to ensure your furniture will be heirloom quality and will last a lifetime. My cabinets are made from the highest grade Maple plywood and solid Maple, Oak or Alder for the face frames, doors and drawers. Making furniture is not a job, it is my passion. Every piece of furniture I make becomes a part of me - it is a creation that I shape from a pile of lumber with bark on the side into fine, finished furniture. I also love the interaction with my customers. Helping them design and craft furniture or cabinets and watching their expressions is priceless. Lastly, every piece of furniture or cabinet set I make is one of a kind, so I am always learning and stretching.

We hired Chris to rebuild all our wood kitchen and laundry room cabinets. What he created were cabinets that look like the finest of high-end furniture. He used solid maple at his choice, and the results are truly breathtaking. His passion for his work is clearly evident throughout, and we are both proud and fortunate to have his work in our home.

Chris did a wonderful job hand crafting and designing a 20 drawer dresser for a master walk in closet. The drawer hardware is top-notch very smooth and the wood (oak) with dark finish came out beautifully. Also, we had three quotes and chris was by far the most reasonable and committed to our project.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No, each piece of furniture or job that I do is different. When it comes to furniture I look at the market for a similar solid wood, handcrafted piece, then I tailor it to the local economy.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to know each of my customers is very important. Understanding the customer's needs is of utmost importance, so I can craft that special piece of furniture for their family to cherish for generations. So, I like to do in home estimates to accomplish this. After the estimate is complete, I provide a detailed plan and invoice for the customer - a contract of sorts - that we can both agree to. Once we have an agreement, a rough date is set to begin work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always learning through multiple venues. Every time I embark on a new piece of furniture there are many new techniques to learn.
