FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $150 to $200/ hour of performance and can be adjusted to meet a venues budget within reason. I accept cash, check, PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo. Most bookings require a deposit of a third to half of the agreed fee. The balance or full payment will be collected at the event prior to performing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I respond to all inquiries within 24 hours. My first concern is to be sure I am a good fit for the venue. My preference is to meet or speak on the phone with the client, to discuss the event in detail covering song preferences, the audience, songs requests, and other musical wishes. I create a customized set lists based on the client’s wishes. I will provide a Live Music Performance Agreement that describes the details of our arrangement in contract form.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started singing and playing guitar when I was 8 years old learning folk songs of Peter, Paul & Mary and Bob Dylan. Music was a hobby through my adult life, playing for family and friends. After moving to Tucson 1999, I began writing original songs with the local Nashville Songwriters Association group and performing at coffee house open mics. That sparked my passion for song writing and performing for audiences. After retiring from corporate life, I travelled full-time around the country performing at pubs, coffee houses, and RV gatherings. Living in Tucson for a while after that, I played at numerous community events, corporate events, private parties, and local venues.
