FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is honest, upfront, and based on the actual scope of work. We don’t believe in bait-and-switch pricing or vague “starting at” numbers that magically grow once we arrive. Small service calls may have a minimum service fee depending on location and job type, and larger projects are estimated based on labor, materials, code requirements, and job difficulty. We’re happy to provide clear estimates before work begins, and we’ll explain what is included so you know exactly what you’re paying for. Discounts may be available for bundled work, repeat customers, and larger projects when reasonable. Our goal is not to be the cheapest electrician — cheap electrical work is usually where problems start. Our goal is to give you safe, clean, code-compliant work at a fair price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our typical process is simple and transparent: First, we learn what you need and gather the important details about the job. Photos, videos, and a clear description help us understand the issue faster and give better guidance. Next, we determine whether the job can be quoted remotely or needs an in-person visit. For troubleshooting, repairs, or unclear electrical issues, an on-site evaluation may be needed so we can properly diagnose the problem. Once we understand the scope, we provide a clear estimate and explain what is included. Before any work begins, we make sure you understand the plan, pricing, and next steps. After approval, we schedule the work, complete it safely and professionally, clean up the work area, and walk you through what was done. Our goal is to make the process easy, honest, and stress-free from the first message to the finished job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our work is performed by certified journeyman electricians, certified apprentices, and pre-apprentices working under proper supervision. We do not send handymen or uncertified workers to perform electrical work. Electrical systems are not the place to cut corners. Bad electrical work can create safety hazards, code violations, failed inspections, and expensive repairs later. Our team has hands-on electrical training in residential and commercial work, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, code-compliant wiring methods, panels, circuits, lighting, devices, and safety practices. When you hire CGR Electric, you’re hiring trained electrical professionals who understand that the job needs to be done safely, cleanly, and correctly.
