- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price we give is generated methodically and with close attention to detail. The materials, the punch-list, and any zoning/compliance considerations are carefully laid-out before determining a price. We do our best to make sure that your project is completed on terms that make sense to you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts here on Thumbtack. We’ll get in touch and set up a time to walk through the project together. At that meeting, we’ll take pictures, measurements, do our research, and then get back to you with our proposal. If we decide to move forward, we’ll set you up on our client portal where you can view project documents such as proposals, contracts, change orders, and project reports. You’ll get a reminder before we start work, and from there we’ll service your project until final approval.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
American Handiwork, Inc. is a professionally-managed general contractor. We carry a dual commercial and residential license, and all trades are insured. Our project managers have degrees in fields like engineering, construction management, and business.
