FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My session fee starts at $185 for a 90-minute session in your home or at a location meaningful to your family. Longer sessions are available. The session fee covers your planning consultation, the session itself, and your image reveal appointment. It does not include printed products or digital files. After your session, you choose finished artwork at your image reveal — framed wall art, heirloom albums, and fine art photo boxes. Wall art starts at $497. I offer à la carte pricing with no minimum order, so you choose only what you truly love. I don't offer standalone digital file packages. My work is designed to become finished artwork for your home — pieces your family will actually see and enjoy every day, not files sitting on a hard drive. Travel sessions outside Tucson are available. Travel fees may apply depending on location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: Discovery Call We start with a free, no-obligation call to get to know each other, talk through what matters most to your family, and make sure we're a great fit. There's no pressure to book during this call. Step 2: In-Person Consultation I come to your home to show you product samples and walk you through the full product brochure. This is your chance to see and touch the quality of the finished artwork before committing to anything. If you'd like to move forward, we begin planning your session, choose a date, and I collect the session fee to reserve it. Step 3: The Session I come to you — your home, your favorite park, wherever feels most like your family. There's no posing, no direction, no pressure. You simply live your life while I document it. Families settle in quickly and the session feels natural and relaxed from early on. Step 4: Ordering Consultation Within one to two weeks I return to your home — or meet you virtually if you're not local — for a personalized slideshow of your images. I help you design wall art to scale on your actual walls using design software, so you can see exactly how everything will look before ordering. This is where you choose your favorites and decide how you'd like to enjoy them. Step 5: Artwork Delivery and Installation For local clients, I deliver and install everything on your walls for you so your finished artwork is beautifully in place from the moment it arrives. If you are not local, I ship your products directly to your home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BFA and an MA in Art Education and spent several years teaching high school art and photography. I also mentored preservice art teachers while they taught K-12 students in a university program. That foundation gave me a deep understanding of composition, light, and visual storytelling that goes far beyond technical camera skills. I've completed numerous university photography courses as well as continuing education focused specifically on my craft, including Creating Deeper Documentary Images 1 and 2 with renowned photographer Chuck Anerino. Teaching art for years also means I understand how people — and especially children — respond to creative environments. That background directly shapes how I work with families and why sessions feel comfortable and natural rather than stiff or pressured.
