FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common jobs are usually weddings and engagements followed closely by family portraits. Even though, I do Senior Photos and business head-shots I'd say what I enjoy the most is Weddings and Children Photos. Maybe it is because they connect somehow with what is most important and they both mean the beginning of something. I have clients I met doing their engagement sessions followed by their weddings and now I get to photograph their little ones! So rewarding!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research! Interview them in person if you can! Honestly your personality and the photographer's personality have to click. It really has to! If he/she can answer your questions fast and in a detail manner... well, let me just say you can't expect much from them. Personalities don't match? Well, it's going to be an awkward session!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That it is NOT just about finding someone with a fancy camera! It is not just about "oh this picture came out cute", it's about "wow! I'm touched!". It's about a photograph stirring powerful emotions in your soul. A lot of people call themselves photographers when they're really not. I want clients to do their research and not be persuaded easily with cheap prices or terms like "natural light photographer". Heck, I love natural light photos! I LOVE them, but nowadays some (not all) people have adopted that term to soften the harsh reality that they actually don't know how to deal with any other lighting situation. No idea about flash, no idea about other stuff that honestly makes a difference.
