FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on the time required to properly prepare your return — not just the forms involved. Business and self-employed returns often require reviewing income, organizing expenses, and answering questions along the way. Our base price assumes some level of cleanup and guidance so there are no surprises later. If your records are already organized and your books are clean, the final price may be lower than the base quote. If additional work is needed (such as organizing uncategorized expenses, bookkeeping cleanup, or prior year corrections), we’ll always let you know before proceeding. We don’t charge for quick questions, and we don’t believe in surprise add-on fees. You’ll know the cost upfront before we start.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by asking a few questions to understand your situation and the type of return you need. Once we have a clear picture, we’ll send you a secure link to upload your tax documents. After reviewing your information, we prepare your return and reach out if we have any questions or need clarification. When the return is ready, we go over everything with you before filing to make sure you’re comfortable and understand the results. If you’re unsure what documents you have or where to start, that’s completely fine — we’ll guide you through the process step by step.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team has formal training in tax preparation, accounting principles, and ongoing education in current IRS regulations and tax law updates. We stay up to date each year with changes to federal and state tax rules to ensure our clients receive accurate and compliant filings. In addition to technical training, we have hands-on experience working with individuals, self-employed professionals, and small business owners, which allows us to handle real-world tax situations that go beyond basic returns.
