My journey as a photographer began in 2011 while serving as a combat photographer in the U.S. Marine Corps. That experience taught me how to capture raw, powerful moments in demanding environments. A skill that continues to shape every project I take on today.
Since then, I’ve built a diverse portfolio photographing weddings, Sweet 16s, baby showers, gender reveals, family celebrations, portraits, and special events of all kinds.

Here’s a more natural version:
I had a really good experience working with Rafael Mercedes Photography. He made the whole shoot feel comfortable and easy, especially if you’re not used to being in front of a camera. He was professional, patient, and had a great eye for getting the right shots. The pictures came out even better than I expected and the quality was amazing. You can tell he actually cares about his work and making sure his clients are happy. I’d definitely work with him again and recommend him to anybody looking for great photos.
