FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The initial consultation fee is set at the appointment. Subsequent time is billable hourly at $125/hour and designer discounts where appropriate and useful or shared.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with an initial consultation to discuss in detail the needs of the project. We then use a systematized, 15 step approach to complete the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constant training and learning!! Ongoing education is important in any field. In the field of home decor, it is necessary to stay abreast of trends: not to necessarily adhere to them, but to aware of what it is our clients will be exposed to. The most current home fashions will present themselves to a homeowner, but it's always best to keep your eyes on what will work for you and your family and NOT just what the retailers are promoting. There is an industry focus on products that are greener, products that are safer, products that are more efficient. It's my job to stay ahead of the curve on these so my clients don't have to. I recently attended our largest national event (think of Fashion Week, but for the interior design industry!) in High Point, North Carolina. While there I was presented with hundreds of the latest and greatest products, but also with some really solid understanding of the trends in safer products for your home.
