FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'll work with you to make sure you know exactly what you're getting and how much it will cost. I don't go in for "gold" or "silver"or other kind of package deals; that has always struck me as gimmicky, and too much about salesmanship. We'll agree on a price to make beautiful pictures from your wedding or portrait sessions, and that'll be that. Of course if you'd like to order hard copies or albums or other products, of course those are available, but that's always up to you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For weddings, we always like to spend a little time with the couple sometime before the wedding -- the better we get to know each other, the better the pictures will be! We can look at pictures together, and you can give us an idea of what you like best. For families, portraits and other kinds of work, we always do our best to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. Pictures are fun!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in journalism, and I've and worked for a number of different newspapers (remember them?), including the San Francisco Chronicle. I know how to tell a story, whether it's in pictures or in words, and whether its for an audience of thousands, or just for family and friends. That journalism background has always helped stay cognizant of what's happening in the moment, and what is authentic and true. I've met and worked with all kinds of people, and I'm comfortable in stressful situations.
