What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly reading articles and watching online seminars, sometimes hours at a time to gain insight in to the current industry and to keep caught up on technology and trends.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is very simple. No fancy structure. We will work out a payment that is suitable for both.
Family shoots start at $400. Events start at $350. Weddings start at $1200
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Deciding to become a professional photographer came from the sheer love of doing it. At the end of the day, even if it is a 13hr non stop wedding, there is still joy in doing what I love.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Family shoots, on location.
Magazine editorial for The Tasting Panel Magazine
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
In November of this year I was asked by the magazine I shoot for called The Tasting Panel to shoot a very successful wine family. The shoot was to take place with the whole family in their private residence. Needless to say, I was nervous. The photographs turned out amazing and I was proud of being able to overcome the nerves and still create images that were personal and beautiful.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone with a large portfolio of more than just their family and friends. Make sure you understand how images will be delivered and in what time frame. Above all, choose someone who shares your vision.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Getting a good photo is more than just picking up a camera and clicking. Every photographer brings his/hers own vision and personal experience to it. Two photographers with the same gear and same subject will shoot very different images. Make sure you like the vision of the photographer you choose.
